La Guerra empezó el 18 de julio de 1936. Ese día su padre no fue a trabajar al campo porque había visto disparos. Mucha gente de Ribaforada fue al frente. Su marido, por ejemplo, estuvo en el frente del Ebro. En el pueblo fusilaron a más de veinte personas.
