Él conoció las últimas dos almadías de su pueblo natal, en Ezcároz. En Navascués no conoció ninguna. Recuerda que la madera llegaba hasta Zaragoza. La jornada de los almadieros transcurría desde Ezcároz hasta Sangüesa, por ello, nunca pararon en Navascués.
