Ha conocido desde siempre hospital en Buñuel. El pueblo pertenecía a la Orden Hospitalaria de San Juan de Jerusalén, por lo que siempre hubo un hospital que recogía y cuidaba a gente necesitada. A principios del siglo pasado la familia Figueras hizo un hospital y un convento.
