Había una linea de tren de Aoiz hasta la zona de la actual depuradora, conocida como el empalme, cuya única finalidad era la de transportar a los obreros que cada día bajaban a El Irati a trabajar. El conductor se encargaba del tractor de transporte, posteriormente sustituido por una caballeria.
