Under the heading "present oral transmission" we have compiled those manifestations that declare more formal freedom than other genres of "urban folklore". They are forms where primary oral transmission, produced without intervention of writing, remains predominant, although there are other new forms in where there is a generally mixed oral transmission where electronic mailing (e-mails, chain messages, hoaxes...), chats (messager), bloggs, etc, are used. Apart from these "electronic" forms under the other forms heading, another two subgenres have been defined: jokes and rumours.
