There is a special place of human culture connecting past to present, it is a built heritage site in natural environment, representing traditions, religion and customs by the use of other pieces of art like sculptures: they are the cemeteries. Nowadays, more and more research is done in these complex heritage sites where tangible and intangible heritage is strongly interrelated. The attention of archaeologists, architects, folklorists, conservationists, museologists has been turning towards burial grounds, gardens of remembrance, memorials and grave yards. We have gathered their results in the case of a cemetery in a village of Hungary having inhabitants of a national minority. Our aim was to document and testify a vanishing culture, the existence of national traditions, religion and customs by finding out the details of the remains of a cemetery and to preserve this piece of environment thus enhancing the life of the community.
