Huangmei Opera is an important art form of traditional Chinese opera. At present, Huangmei Opera, which mainly focuses on oral communication and stage communication, cannot cater to the media usage habits of current audiences, and cannot be effectively spread in the context of media convergence. In this paper, users’ preference for lightweight game samples was obtained based on EEG experiment; Secondly, the factors influencing user experience of Huangmei Opera lightweight H5 game were acquired through the focus group; Then, supported by the questionnaire design of the focus group, user experience hierarchy was constructed according to the results of questionnaire data analysis, based on which the design practice of Huangmei Opera lightweight H5 game was completed; Finally, the design effect of the game was evaluated. The results show that lightweight H5 games can realize the effective communication of cultural connotation of Huangmei Opera as an important carrier, which provides new ideas for the contemporary dissemination of traditional Chinese opera.
