The purpose of this study is to investigate the current situation and problems in transmittingin the dance field of national and city/do intangible cultural heritages, and suggest a desirabledirection of intangible cultural heritage research under the Intangible Cultural PropertiesAct. Intangible cultural heritage are divided into the national intangible cultural heritage,which are administrated by the nation, and the city/do intangible cultural heritage, which areadministrated by local self-governing systems of cities or provinces. Most of the operatingsystems of city/do intangible cultural heritage are managed based on the national intangiblecultural heritage. Even though the Intangible Cultural Properties Act was enforced in 2016and the fundamental framework has been changed with the law, still many city/do intangiblecultural heritage are managed by the Cultural Heritage Promotion Act. Therefore, the dancefield needs to consider and investigate the frame of national and city/do intangible culturalheritages and develop a future direction. Also, the dance field of intangible cultural heritage innation and city/do needs to cooperate together under the Intangible Cultural Properties Act.
