Se guardaba siempre la ropa de domingo, no podía usar unos pantalones corrientes, chaquetas o cazadoras. Su madre y su abuela hacían chaquetas de puntos con cenefas y pompones (se llamaban las chaquetas vascas), para la gente de fuera y para las hijas.
