Javier estudió en la escuela de Oloritz. Tiene mal recuerdo de la escuela porque todos los días tenían que hacer fuego, se llenaba el aula de humo y pasaban mucho frío. La maestra se llamaba Asunción González, les enseñaba un poco de todo. Javier fue a las escuela hasta los catorce años.
