A los 12 años decidió marchar al Seminario. La mayoría de los mozos destinados a ser curas marchaban a esa edad. Tenía claro que quería ser cura. Antes de su inserción en el Seminario tenían que hacer un cursillo de verano para que fueran admitidos.
