En Zirauki tenían berza, pepino y poco más. Cuenta cómo en el año 1944, cuando hicieron el canal, vinieron muchos andaluces a trabajar y empezaron a comer el tomate en ensalada. Hasta entonces allí nunca se había comido el tomate crudo.
