Luis iba poco al campo, solamente en alguna ocasión que fue con algún vecino. En esa época, seguramente hubo muchas riadas y sequías. Luis recuerda una riada que se llevó muchas huertas y le pilló en medio. En al año 1955 hubo un incendio importante en Viana.
