Hubo epidemias de pulgas y de piojos. Según la higiene de la gente podían tener mas enfermedades, como sarna en las manos. Una tía suya tenía la ropa y los muebles llenas de pulgas. Su madre compraba unas tiras pegajosas para cazar las moscas.
