Las asociaciones religiosas estaban muy perseguidas antes de comenzar la Guerra. Su padre era de ideología izquierdista. Solamente había 2 tipos de partidos, rojos o blancos. Cuenta varias anécdotas que le pasó a su padre durante la Guerra. El toque de queda era a las 6 de la tarde.
