En su pueblo tenían escuela mixta, había 15 o 20 niños en clase de todas las edades. A él no le gustaba mucho ir a la escuela, el maestro le pegaba y él se escapó. El Obispo le pagaba al maestro una peseta diaria y le dejaba una casa.
