Conchi nació en Zabalza, en 1929, siendo este el pueblo de su madre, aunque su padre era de Bidaurreta. Tuvo 4 hermanos y 2 hermanas. Ella era la tercera. Su padre se dedicaba al campo y la madre a la casa. Con dos años sus padres la llevaron a Bidaurreta con su tía viuda y su abuela.
