Su familia no tenía viña pero si muchas robadas de trigo, por lo que recuerda cómo tenía que apalear el trigo y aventarlo. Durante la guerra no encontraban personal para trabajar esos campos, a lo que se sumó que dos hermanos fueron reclutados.
